AICPA (New York, NY)

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) is the national, professional organization for all Certified Public Accountants. It provides members with resources, information, and leadership. In fulfilling its mission, the AICPA works with state CPA organizations.  Additionally, the AICPA is involved in several public campaigns, including the "Feed the Pig" to encourage savings among 25-34 year old career builders, the "360 Degrees of Financial Literacy" campaign, and the "Start Here, Go Places" campaign with resources to aid students considering entering the accounting or finance professions.

The major areas of activity pursued in carrying out the Institute's mission include: Advocacy before government bodies; Certification and licensing; Communications; Recruiting and education; Professional standards and performance.

The AICPA seeks a self-motivated and enthusiastic intern for its Communications Team. The intern will assist staff with various projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The ideal candidate should be entering at least his Sophomore year. The candidate should work well in a group or team atmosphere and can expect to gain a variety of experiences in coordination and time management, project management, conceptualization, public relations, communications, and more.  Communications, Marketing and Business majors will be given preference.  Candidates do not need to be accounting majors or have a finance background.
